When I came across these items I knew that I had to find their home. I could not let these get lost or thrown away. I was lucky when I started my search to find one of Renato and Perlita Cuenca’s daughters within 15 minutes, thanks to Facebook. In this day and age, you never know if someone will respond or if they will think that I want something from them.

I was lucky that their daughter, Sharon, gave it a chance and contacted me within minutes. When she heard what I had, she was in tears. She thought these keepsakes were lost forever. These keepsakes are priceless and cannot be replaced. I was happy to be able to return them to the home where they belonged.

With hard times in the family and her parents being sick, these items were auctioned from a storage unit, thinking they would never be seen again. Little did she know that they would be retuned home. With Sharon not living far from me, I had the honor to hand deliver them. The joy and emotion that ran down her face was priceless. I knew how much these keepsakes meant to her and to have them back in her possession. It is reactions like Sharon that keeps me wanting to find more keepsakes and return them home.
